Diacetatobis(2-aminobenzothiazole)zinc(II)

Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C₂H₃O₂)₂(C₇H₆N₂S)₂], the Zn atom is four-coordinated in the ZnO₂N₂ form in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The amino groups act as donors in N-HO hydrogen bonds. Two intermolecular N-HO hydrogen bonds interconnect the molecules into a three-dimensional network. The planes of the acetate ligands are nearly orthogonal, and the Zn atom is displaced slightly from these two planes.
