Diphenyl (3,3-diphenoxycyclohexyl)phosphonate

Abstract: The solid-state structure of the title compound, C₃₀H₂₉O₅P, has been determined at 100  K. The generalized puckering coordinates, Q₂ (0.587), ₂ (286.82°) and ₂ (178.9°), confirm that the cyclohexane ring is in the chair conformation ²C₅. The phosphine ligand is equatorial to the ring, with the P atom in a slightly distorted tetrahedral configuration.
