-(2-hydroxyphenyl)nitrone: supramolecular aggregation through
-
and C-H
interactionsAbstract: The title compound, C13H10ClNO2, is identified to be a nitrone which is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H
O hydrogen bond. In the crystal structure, the molecules are packed in layers. The closest distance between the centroids of chlorophenyl and hydroxyphenyl rings in adjacent layers is 3.178 (2) Å.
