N,N,N',N'-Tetramethylstreptamine 2,4,6-orthoformate

Abstract: In the title compound, rac-(1s,3s,5R,6r,7S,8R,9S)-8,9-bis(dimethylamino)-2,4,10-trioxatricyclo[3.3.1.1^3,7]decan-6-ol, C₁₁H₂₀N₂O₄, an intramolecular hydrogen bond with HN = 2.09  (2)  Å is observed between the hydroxy group and one of the dimethylamino groups; this hydrogen bond is appreciably non-linear (146° at H). There is a short HN contact of 2.61  (2)  Å from the same hydroxy H atom to the other N atom.
