Aqua(trifluoroacetato)triphenyltin-2,2'-bipyridine (2/2)

Abstract: In the title compound, [Sn(C₆H₅)₃(C₂O₂F₃)(H₂O)]₂·2C₁₀H₈N₂, the coordinated water molecule forms a hydrogen bond to the N atom of each of the two N-heterocycles [O_waterN = 2.754  (3) and 2.795  (3)  Å]; the pyridyl rings of the N-heterocycle are twisted by 34.2  (1)°. The Sn atom is five-coordinate in a trans-C₃SnO₂ trigonal-bipyramidal geometry.
