Abstract: The framework of K₂Zn(H₂P₂O₇)₂·2H₂O contains acid diphosphate-metallate layers linked by KO interactions and weak hydrogen bonds. Zn²⁺ cations are coordinated octahedrally by O atoms from two bidentate [H₂P₂O₇]^2- anions and two water molecules.
