Ammonium 2-mercaptopyridine-3-carboxylate hydrate

G. Smith and D. S. Sagatys

Abstract: The crystal structure of ammonium 2-mercaptopyridine-3-carboxylate hydrate, NH4+·C6H4NO2S-·H2O, contains a zwitterionic anion with the pyridine-N atom protonated. All potential donor and acceptor atoms are involved in hydrogen-bonding, resulting in a three-dimensional network structure.
