Bis(cyclooctatetraenyl)thulium lithium tris(tetrahydrofuran)

Abstract: The molecular structure of the first anionic bis-COT sandwich compound [COT = cyclooctatetraene] of the element thulium, of composition [(⁸-COT)₂Tm]^-[Li(thf)₃]⁺, is reported. It exhibits a weak electrostatic interaction between the lithium ion and two C atoms of one of the COT ligands.
