Abstract: In the acridine moiety of the title compound, C22H26N2O2·H2O, the central dihydropyridine ring adopts a flattened boat conformation, while the outer cyclohexene rings adopt sofa conformations. In the crystal structure, N-H...O and O-H...O hydrogen bonds involving the water molecule and C-H...O hydrogen bonds link the inversion-related molecules to form layers parallel to the (011) plane. Adjacent layers are linked by O-H...N hydrogen bonds involving the water molecule.
