Abstract: The title compound, C23H17Cl2NO2S, crystallizes with Z' = 2 in space group P
. The dihedral angle between the indole moiety and the aromatic rings of the phenylsulfonyl and dichlorophenyl groups are 76.2 (1) and 7.6 (1)° in molecule A, and 75.6 (1) and 11.6 (1)° in molecule B. The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 79.7 (1)° in molecule A and 81.6 (1)° in molecule B. The molecular structure and molecular packing in the crystal are stabilized by C-H
O weak interactions.
