N)[tris(3,5-dimethylpyrazole)copper(II)Abstract: The title compound, [Cu(CN3O2)2(C5H8N2)3], is the first example of a pentacoordinated 3d-central atom involving the cyanamidonitrate ligand. The crystal structure is formed by neutral molecues stabilized by a three-dimensional network consisting of one intramolecular and three intermolecular hydrogen bonds. The Cu atom is pentacoordinated by three N-donor atoms from 3,5-dimethylpyrazole neutral ligands and two N-donor atoms from cyanamidonitrate anions.
