Abstract: The title compound, C35H24Cl6N2O3, which was synthesized by the [3 + 2]-cycloaddition of 2,6-dichlorobenzonitrile oxide and 2,7-bis(4-chlorobenzylidene)cycloheptanone, contains two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. Three rings are linked by two spiro-C atoms. The cycloheptanone ring adopts a chair conformation and the two five-membered isoxazoline rings have envelope conformations.
