Decacarbonyl([mu]4-2-thiodithiobenzoato- [kappa]4C,S,S',S'')bis(trimethyl phosphite)tetrafer

E. A. Laifa and N. Benali-Cherif

Abstract: The title disubstituted tetranuclear cluster, [Fe4(C3H9O3P)2(C7H4S3)(CO)10], was obtained by heating the tetranuclear complex TN (Fe4S3C19O12H4) with an excess of trimethyl phosphite in acetone at 328  K. The structure shows that, of the two P(OMe)3 ligands, one has replaced a carbonyl on an Fe atom in the symmetric part of the tetranuclear cluster, whereas the second one has replaced a carbonyl on an Fe atom in the asymmetric part of the cluster.
