Decacarbonyl(₄-2-thiodithiobenzoato- ⁴C,S,S',S'')bis(trimethyl phosphite)tetrafer

Abstract: The title disubstituted tetranuclear cluster, [Fe₄(C₃H₉O₃P)₂(C₇H₄S₃)(CO)₁₀], was obtained by heating the tetranuclear complex TN (Fe₄S₃C₁₉O₁₂H₄) with an excess of trimethyl phosphite in acetone at 328  K. The structure shows that, of the two P(OMe)₃ ligands, one has replaced a carbonyl on an Fe atom in the symmetric part of the tetranuclear cluster, whereas the second one has replaced a carbonyl on an Fe atom in the asymmetric part of the cluster.
