Abstract: The crystal structure of 1-methylethyl 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methylpropanoate, also known as fenofibrate, C20H21ClO4, has been determined and is presented here. The compound crystallizes in space group P
and is notable for its lack of hydrogen-bond donors and thus a lack of hydrogen bonding.
