1,3-Diphenoxy-2,2-bis(phenoxymethyl)propane

Abstract: The title compound, C₂₉H₂₈O₄, was synthesized by a new method, crystallized from benzene/hexane, and its crystal structure determined. The molecule adopts a distorted tetrahedral geometry, and each phenyl group forms four edge-to-face phenyl-phenyl interactions with three different neighboring molecules.
