Bis(pentachlorophenyl) disulfide

Abstract: The molecule of bis(pentachlorophenyl) disulfide, (Cl₅C₆)₂S₂, lies on a twofold axis; the phenyl rings are twisted by 19.2  (1)° and the C-S-S-C torsion angle is -82.8  (2)°. The crystal packing is dominated by weak ClCl contacts of 3.5-3.7  Å.
