A gadolinium and niobium oxide sulfide, Gd₃NbS₃O₄

Abstract: The structure of the title compound, trigadolinium niobium trisulfide tetraoxide, Gd₃NbS₃O₄, was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Gd₃NbS₃O₄ crystallizes in the non-centrosymmetric space group Pn2₁a (No.33) of the orthorhombic system. It is isostructural with Sm₃NbS₃O₄.
