Abstract: In the title co-crystal, 2C14H10O4·C10H8N2, the diphenic acid molecules form a centrosymmetric dimeric pair, through strong O-H
O hydrogen bonds involving a carboxylic acid group from each molecule. In the crystal structure, the dimers are linked by C-H
O interactions to form layers parallel to the (001) plane. The adjacent layers are interlinked by bipyridine molecules, C10H8N2, through O-H
N hydrogen bonds. The bipyridine molecule lies on a centre of symmetry.
