Abstract: The reaction of FeCl₃, NaSCN and Gd(NO₃)₃·6H₂O in 1:10 DMF/H₂O led to the formation of the title compound, [Fe(NCS)₃(C₄H₇N)₃], in which the six-coordinated Fe atom is in an octahedral fac environment.
