N-Allyl-N-(2-nitrobenzenesulfonyl)-L-phenylalanine methyl ester

Abstract: The structure of the title compound, C₁₉H₂₀N₂O₆S, has been determined as part of an ongoing investigation into the preparation of bis-N-alkylated amino acids for subsequent alkene cross-metathesis reactions to generate dynamic combinatorial libraries. The overall molecular conformation is stabilized by well defined intramolecular C-HO interactions.
