Bis(1-carbamoylguanidinium) diaquatetrachlorocobaltate(II)

Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, (C₂H₇N₄O)₂[CoCl₄(H₂O)₂], contains a molecular network of (C₂H₇N₄O)⁺ cations and trans-[Co(H₂O)₂Cl₄]^2- octahedral anions (Co site symmetry 2/m). An extensive network of N-HCl, N-H(Cl,Cl), N-HO, O-HO and O-HCl hydrogen bonds results in a structure with a three-dimensional hydrogen-bond network.
