Bis(1-carbamoylguanidinium) diaquatetrachlorocobaltate(II)

C. A. Bremner and W. T. A. Harrison

Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, (C2H7N4O)2[CoCl4(H2O)2], contains a molecular network of (C2H7N4O)+ cations and trans-[Co(H2O)2Cl4]2- octahedral anions (Co site symmetry 2/m). An extensive network of N-H...Cl, N-H...(Cl,Cl), N-H...O, O-H...O and O-H...Cl hydrogen bonds results in a structure with a three-dimensional hydrogen-bond network.
