Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, C₃₀H₄₈N₄O₄, displays approximate twofold symmetry in the central part of the molecule, but the ethyl groups depart from this symmetry. The carbonyl O atoms point alternately to different sides of the plane defined by the carbonyl C atoms. A three-dimensional hydrogen-bonding network is built up from five C-HO interactions.
