Abstract: In the paper by Özbey et al. [Acta Cryst. (2002), E58, o1269-o1271], the Scheme and systematic name are incorrect. The correct Scheme is shown below and the correct systematic name is 1-[2-(2-naphthyl)-2-(propoxyimino)ethyl]imidazol-3-ium chloride.
