1-(4-Aminophenyl)-3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one

Abstract: In the title molecule, C₁₇H₁₇NO₃, the configuration of the keto group with respect to the olefinic double bond is s-cis. The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 9.5 (2)°. Both the H atoms of the amino group are involved in N-HO hydrogen bonding to form molecular layers parallel to the (100) plane. The layers are stacked along the b axis and are interlinked by C-H and C-HO interactions.
