Abstract: The Co atom and nitrate anion in the title compound, [Co(C₁₂H₈N₂)₂(N₃)₂]NO₃, are each disposed about a twofold axis of symmetry. The Co atom exists in a distorted octahedral geometry, with the azide ligands cis to each other.
