1-Carbamoylguanidinium hydrogenselenite

Abstract: The title compound, C₂H₇N₄O⁺·HSeO₃^-, contains a network of 1-carbamoylguanidinium cations and hydrogenselenite anions. The crystal packing is controlled by N-HO [d_av(HO) = 1.89  Å, _av(N-HO) = 167° and d_av(NO) = 2.760  (1)  Å] and O-HO [d_av(HO) = 1.86  Å, _av(O-HO) = 175° and d_av(OO) = 2.712  (1)  Å] hydrogen bonds, resulting in a layered structure.
