Abstract: The title compound, (C₆H₁₆N₂)[UO₂(SO₄)₂]·2H₂O, contains anionic [UO₂(SO₄)₂]^2- chains with cyclohexane-1,4-diammonium cations balancing the charge. Each U^VI atom is seven-coordinate in a pentagonal bipyramidal geometry and the sulfate tetrahedra either bridge between two adjacent uranium centres or share an edge with a single [UO₇] polyhedron.
