Abstract: The thiazine ring in the title compound, C14H19NO5S, adopts a slightly distorted chair conformation. The substituents, viz. the ethoxycarbonyl and methoxyphenyl groups, are located cis to one another. In the crystal structure, the inversion-related molecules exist as C-H...O hydrogen-bonded dimers, and these are linked by N-H...O and C-H...O interactions to form layers parallel to the ac plane.
