Pregnenolone hemisuccinate: a P1 structure with Z' = 4

Abstract: The structure of the title compound, C₂₅H₃₆O₅, was refined in space group P1, with Z' = 4. The high value for Z' is due to a degree of free rotation around the ester bond C-O at the 3 position of the steroidal A-D nucleus.
