Abstract: The title complex, [Cu(Me₂phen)(N₃)₂]₂, is disposed about an inversion centre; Me₂phen is 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (C₁₄H₁₂N₂). The structure features ₂-bridging and terminal azide ligands, chelating Me₂phen and the Cu atom in a distorted square pyramidal geometry.
