Abstract: The title compound, C₁₈H₁₇NOS, (2), is the product of substitution at the methyl group, in the 2-position of 2,5-dimethyl-4-phenylthiazole, with benzaldehyde. Molecules of (2) form extended chains through O-HN hydrogen bonds.
