Abstract: In the title compound, C₂₀H₁₈O₃, the benzoyl and phenyl groups lie on opposite sides of the dihydrofuran ring. The dihydrofuran ring adopts a conformation intermediate between an envelope and a half-chair. The crystal packing is characterized by van der Waals forces and C-HO interactions.
