O)aluminium(III) from a twinned crystalAbstract: The title compound, [AlCl3(C4H10O)], forms crystals which appear orthorhombic, but which are actually monoclinic. They are twinned on (100). This is a rather common occurrence when the monoclinic angle
is close to 90°.
