Trichloro(diethyl ether-O)aluminium(III) from a twinned crystal

Abstract: The title compound, [AlCl₃(C₄H₁₀O)], forms crystals which appear orthorhombic, but which are actually monoclinic. They are twinned on (100). This is a rather common occurrence when the monoclinic angle is close to 90°.
