Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, C10H10O3, has two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. In one of these molecules, the allyl group is disordered as a consequence of a degree of free rotation of ca 15° around the C-C ![[sigma]](/logos/entities/sigma_rmgif.gif)
bond of the allyl group.
