Tetrathiafulvalenium 4-oxo-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-sulfate

Abstract: The title compound, C₆H₄S₄⁺·C₉H₁₆NO₅S^-, which includes an organic diamagnetic anion, was obtained unexpectedly by metathesis of the tetraphenylphosphonium salt of an organic free-radical anion, 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyloxy-4-hydroxy-4-sulfonate, with (TTF)₃(BF₄)₂ (TTF = tetrathiafulvalene).
