Abstract: The title compound, C₁₅H₂₂O₃, is a charge-control agent used in electrophotography. There are two independent molecules A and B in the asymmetric unit. The molecules form centrosymmetric dimers A-A and B-B via pairs of O-HO hydrogen bonds between the carboxyl groups.
