Tetraaqua(1,10-phenanthroline-N,N')manganese(II) dinitrate

Abstract: The title compound, [Mn(C₁₂H₈N₂)(H₂O)₄](NO₃)₂, was obtained from the reaction of benzoic acid, 1,10-phenanthroline and manganese nitrate tetrahydrate. The Mn atom is coordinated in a distorted octahedral arrangement by four water molecules and two N atoms from the phenanthroline ligand.
