Abstract: The title compound, [Co(C₁₆H₂₃N₂O)₂]ClO₄, has been synthesized and characterized. The crystal structure was determined by X-ray crystallography from single-crystal data. It is a mononuclear compound, and the central Co^III atom, lying on an inversion center, is coordinated by four N atoms and two O atoms from two Schiff bases, giving an approximately octahedral coordination environment.
