Solving the problem of the configuration of the double bond at C22 in (25S)-23-acetyl-5-furost-22-ene-3,26-diyl diacetate

Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, C₃₃H₅₀O₆, confirms that the double bond at C22, with a length of 1.355  (3)  Å, has an E configuration, in agreement with NMR data.
