Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₅H₁₆NO₂⁺·C₇H₇O₃S^-, the cation is almost planar and makes a dihedral angle of 83.1  (1)° with the benzene ring of the anion. In the crystal structure, alternate layers of anions and cations are interconnected by O-HO hydrogen bonds, C-HO and C-H interactions.
