3-[4-(1-Oxo-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-yl)phenyl]sydnone

Abstract: In the title sydnone compound, C₁₇H₁₂N₂O₃, the two benzene rings are oriented at angles of 7.37  (7) and 15.27  (7)° with respect to the plane of the sydnone moiety. In the crystalline state, the molecules are linked via weak intermolecular C-HO interactions, forming C(4) and C(7) chains, and R₂²(14) and R₂¹(7) rings.
