Abstract: In the title sydnone compound, C17H12N2O3, the two benzene rings are oriented at angles of 7.37 (7) and 15.27 (7)° with respect to the plane of the sydnone moiety. In the crystalline state, the molecules are linked via weak intermolecular C-H
O interactions, forming C(4) and C(7) chains, and R22(14) and R21(7) rings.
