Abstract: From a solution containing uranyl nitrate and sodium citrate, single crystals of trisodium citrate dihydrate, 3Na+·C6H5O73-·2H2O, were obtained. The structure consists of a complex network of citrate and sodium ions. Additionally, hydrogen bonds between the citrate ions and the water of crystallization are formed.
