Abstract: p-Diisocyanotetramethylbenzene, p-C6(CH3)4(NC)2, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c. One-half of the molecule is crystallographically independent, with the other half being generated by an inversion centre located at the centre of the molecule.
