4-[N,N-Bis(2-cyanoethyl)amino]pyridinium perchlorate

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₁H₁₃N₄⁺·ClO₄^-, the planar geometry around the amino N atom in the cation suggests conjugation with the -system of the pyridine ring. N-HO, C-HO and C-HN hydrogen-bonding interactions play a key role in the crystal packing.
