3-Carboxypyridine N-oxide: supramolecular aggregation through O-HO and C-HO interactions

Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title molecule, C₆H₅NO₃, weak C-HO interactions result in dimeric units which are extended by strong O-HO hydrogen bonds to form a two-dimensional supramolecular (4,4)-layered architecture.
