A new polymorph of -bis(diphenylphosphino)methane-²P:P'-bis[chlorogold(I)]

Abstract: The title compound, [(AuCl)₂(dppm)] (dppm = Ph₂P(CH₂)PPh₂), has been found to crystallize as a new triclinic polymorph. Unlike the previously reported monoclinic form, there are no aurophilic AuAu interactions between the Au(I) atoms.
