Abstract: In the title compound, C6H16N4O22+·2C2F3O2-, the cations have their amino, guanidyl and carboxylate groups protonated, thus featuring a double positive charge. One of the anions shows rotational disorder of its CF3 group. A network of hydrogen bonds links the ions together, utilizing all possible arginine donor atoms.
