P(C₆H₄CH₂NMe₂-2)₃-stabilized mononuclear pentafluoropropionatosilver(I)

Abstract: The title complex, (pentafluoropropionato){tris[2-(dimethylaminomethyl)phenyl]phosphine}silver(I), [P(C₆H₄CH₂NMe₂-2)₃]Ag[OC(O)CF₂CF₃] or [Ag(C₃F₅O₂)(C₂₇H₃₆N₃P)], possesses a tetracoordinated silver(I) ion, with silver in a distorted tetrahedral environment. In the solid state, two independent molecules are found in the asymmetric unit. The P(C₆H₄CH₂NMe₂-2)₃ group acts as a tripodal ligand.
