N-Hydroxy-N'-(1-naphthyl)-2-phenylacetamidin-2-one

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₈H₁₄O₂N₂, consists of an aminonaphthalene group and a 2-phenyl-1,2-ethanedione 1-oxime group. Intermolecular O-HN and O-HO hydrogen bonds [ON = 2.775  (2)  Å and OO = 3.252  (2)  Å], and - interactions are highly effective in forming chains, thereby stabilizing the crystal structure. The oxime group has the E configuration.
