Diethyl 2-(4-nitrophenyl)malonate forms a hydrogen-bonded chain of rings

Abstract: Molecules of the title compound, C₁₃H₁₅NO₆, are linked by two C-HO hydrogen bonds [HO = 2.32 and 2.46  Å, CO = 3.306  (2) and 3.393  (2)  Å, and C-HO = 171 and 156°] into a C(4)C(7)[R₃²(11)] chain of rings.
